I do not recommend staying at the hotel. It has serious maintenance and hygiene problems. The air conditioners in many rooms do not work.I also know that the bathrooms have problems.Broken furniture.Old sheets and they are not changed daily.Old towels etc.In particular, we had a room where the air conditioning did not work and it was only in the third room we moved to that we were able to stay. But obviously it was a room with the maintenance and hygiene deficiencies already mentioned. We are not going back.
Excellent location, comfortable room, with air conditioning...An incredible view of Puerto MaderoDelicious and varied breakfastGood service from the staff.Totally recommended
The only good thing was the location, the facilities were poorly maintained, from the photos it looks very good but in reality it is not like that, the air in the room sounded very strong, the terrible wifi drops out all the time and has very poor quality, in the end We had to use our own internet, the hotel did not even take responsibility for any claim. Those who serve at the front desk provide poor service. I wouldn't remember it at all. Don't make the mistake of getting carried away by the photos.
On the phone they tell you a rate in USD that is not the same at the time of paying nor does it match the amount that you receive by email. As for the hotel, I do not recommend it for many days since the rooms are not practical. It's a half-assed hotel
Total disaster. I arrived with my daughter after a long trip and they told me that my room was not available because a pipe had broken and that they should assign me another hotel (there were superior rooms available but they did not want to give it to me). I will never return to this or any other hotel. no hotel from this chain
Excellent location, very close to Puerto Madero and the restaurants in the area, the rooms meet what is necessary for a comfortable stay. The best thing was the attention of the reception staff. I especially highlight the attention of Magaly, who was very gentle and kind, she had a very nice gesture with my wife for her birthday.
I booked at Unique Obelisco because it was only 2 blocks from the theater I was going to attend. The day before my arrival I called to confirm my reservation at that hotel and not another. They told me everything was ok.The next day when I showed up at the hotel they referred me to Unique Madero (located in San Telmo) due to building problems they said. The room was already paid for, which forced me to accept the change, something I would not have done if I had had the choice. It seemed like a total lack of respect and abuse towards the client.
Disaster, they charge you 4 stars and give you terrible serviceJuan Manuel, the Manager never got in touch despite my complaints, the app through which I booked did not respond seriously either.a pityPoor quality beds with sagging and too small mattress, bathroom in poor condition, noisy rooms, the hair dryer worked for 20 seconds, the shower of poor quality, smell of paint on the nightstandsIt is not to recommend
Excellent attention from the staff. Kindness, education and gentleness. The rooms are spacious, and decorated with sobriety. The location is quiet, which is appreciated given the movement of the area. In relation to price and quality, more than recommended.
Very good location.Near San Telmo and in front of Puerto Madero. The room is very spacious. The bed too. They gave me one with two beds together + one more than 1 place.Friendly staff.
Room without lighting, misleading advertising, no views, very worn sheets and towels, everything old and from the mattress to the bed there is only 1 sheet, a large bed is the union of two small ones and they don't put anything on it they just put them together , there are no trash cans, there is no coffee maker to heat water, there are not enough glasses, the place is horrible, for what we paid we expected better. Totally disappointed in this place. There are places with similar prices and better facilities.
A hotel very well located in the Puerto Madero area with very quick access to the main sites of interest. The bathrooms were not so well maintained and had problems with water leaks in the cups, which I reported but they were not attended to during my stay and the water was always leaking. Otherwise, an excellent place
Excellent service, quiet neighborhood and close to everything! The bad thing, the bathroom: it was difficult to regulate the water temperature, the door did not close, we ran out of supplies (and they did not replace them)
Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing and did not meet the expectations we had when booking it.:1. **Dated and uncomfortable room**: The room had old furniture and a small television. There was a single uncomfortable chair and a table, without even an armchair to relax on. The bed was hard and the pillows were small and too soft, they barely took up half of the bed. Also, the cushions were of poor quality and ugly.2. **Inadequate sheets**: The sheets did not cover the entire bed, leaving part of the mattress exposed, which caused discomfort when sleeping. Plus, they had no elastic and would come off with the slightest movement during the night.3. **Lighting problems**: Half of the lights in the room were not working. If you needed light, you had to use your phone's flashlight, which was very inconvenient.4. **Bathroom in poor condition**: The water temperature was impossible to regulate, you could only choose between very hot or very cold. The drain was clogged and the water was not draining properly. In addition, the shower could not be used alone, since the tub faucet always remained open, despite turning it to maximum. We also noticed water leaking behind the shower wall which is a real horror.5. **Bathroom without ventilation**: The bathroom had no ventilation and the exhaust fan did not work, causing odors and humidity to build up after bathing.6. **Constant noises**: The hallways were noisy at all hours. Guests were allowed to make noise early, including children playing at 6 a.m. Smoking marijuana was also allowed inside the rooms, since one day the hallway was converted to cannabis. We notified the front desk, but we didn't know if they took any action. In addition, the acoustic insulation of the rooms was poor, as you could hear all the doors opening and closing.7. **Old-fashioned elevators**: There are only two elevators with capacity for 3 people. They are old, they don't indicate which floor they are on, and sometimes you have to wait up to 10 minutes to take them. You end up going down the stairs with your suitcases in hand.8. **Poor breakfast**: Breakfast was a big disappointment, with few options: only sliced bread with cheese and ham, orange, coffee, orange juice, cereal, cocoa powder and croissants without filling or flavor. In addition, the dining room was always full and sometimes there was no place to sit, having to look for chairs in other spaces because the staff did not accommodate them.9. **Room change without improvements**: We requested a room change because ours had a view of a building and not of Puerto Madero, as we had requested when booking. They moved us on the second day to a tiny room that also had personal belongings from previous guests. Despite this, we decided to stay because at least it had the desired view. However, when trying to shower, we found that the water temperature was extremely hot. We ended up going back to the previous room, since at least we could shower there without problems. In short, our experience was extremely uncomfortable and unsatisfactory. The lack of maintenance, problems in the facilities, poor service and low quality of breakfast make us not recommend this hotel at all.
My worst experience in booking a hotel. I booked a month in advance. The day I had to enter I received an email saying that the reservation was cancelled. Impossible to solve the issue by phone since they do not answer or otherwise. I would not book again for this reason. It really hurts because I booked to go to several places near the location and I had to cancel everything.
My worst experience in booking a hotel. They are absolutely dishonest. I booked a month in advance. A day before they sent me an email saying that my card did not pass. Impossible to resolve the issue by phone or in any other way. I don't attend for that reason. After 48 hours of the days that had been reserved, I received the charge on my card. Disastrous
Central hotel that allows you to walk to Puerto Madero, one of the most spectacular areas of Buenos Aires. The rooms are spacious and clean and in our case with views of the Port itself (the most beautiful views I have ever had in a hotel). To add a drawback... Regulating the hot water in the shower is almost an impossible mission. They should modernize this aspect.
Excellent place to spend a few days for work. The staff is very attentive and the main space is comfortable, allowing you to meet and have something to eat.The rooms are comfortable, the only thing is you can hear all the noise around you. I'm 1.80m tall and the shower hit my head, so I figure it should be more annoying for a taller man. They don't have kitchen service outside of breakfast... it would be nice to add that.
There is a lack of lighting, and the bathroom needs maintenance. Breakfast is rich but there is little variety. The hotel as such is not bad, because if the service was better they could receive comments to improve, but at reception they need to be more friendly and courteous.
A TOTAL DISGUSTING.It is not what they show in the photos, and not only that but they also steal from you. They open your safes and rob you, they take things out of your suitcases... A disaster
I am staying in this hotel at this moment, waiting for the manager who told me that he would arrive at 7 and it is 9. Last night when I got to my room, money had been stolen from the safe and I had been searched and clothes stolen. A more than bitter drink, I do not recommend it nor would I ever do it.
The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Overall my experience at the hotel was pleasant. I will note that they charge you if you lose your keys which I often do.
Upon arrival we had very good attention and perfect service, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, you can sleep in total silence and it is in a good location, there is good hygiene in the bathrooms and good lighting.
The hotel is not suitable for traveling by vehicle as it does not have garages and many spaces in the surrounding area are reserved for public buildings. The bathroom was very uncomfortable. The bidet was attached to the vanity and was practically unusable. Also, every time you took a shower it flooded because the screen was very small. The pillows are two stones. I will not come back.
The room I had facing the street, very noisy, very cold, the air conditioning did not work for heat, neither did the telephone, the breakfast was very basic and the location was excellent, the price is not in line with the quality of the hotel
Attentive staff, always concerned about the condition of their guests, very delicious breakfast and the location is ideal. Safe and very clean area. Excellent treatment.
IMPOSSIBLE TO REST. YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING FROM THE HALLWAY. YOU CAN'T SLEEP.No light in room or bathroom. You are in darkness. They don't leave enough towels. The bathroom floods every time you shower.THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER VISITED
Excellent location.Adequate service, little varied breakfast, rooms with adequate space but little lighting, a lot of noise from outside (both from the street and from guests, you can hear people talking due to the poor sound insulation they have)
English/Spanish review"Horrible service! I do not recommend staying at that hotel. When we arrived, the guy at the reception was very rude. He didn't even attend to us, and it took a while for him to approach; he didn't even say hello. I decided to greet him... 'Hello, how are you?' ... 'Wait,' he told me. 'I'm busy.' As if saying hello was such a difficult thing to say, a hello, how are you, excuse me, can you give me a moment, please. We had arrived very early, and there were no rooms left; we decided to book 2 rooms for 2 families... That same afternoon, they canceled my room 3 hours after the agreed check-in, saying the card was invalid. The strange thing is that we booked the second room with the same card, which had not been canceled. A disgusting hotel, and a very unfriendly service. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I read the reviews, and the place already has a very bad reputation. Luckily, we found an EXCELLENT hotel two blocks down. Madero Pleno ex Own. There, the staff were really polite and professional. Excellent rooms and a big difference from that other place."Horrible service! I do not recommend that you stay in that hotel. When we arrived the guy at the reception was very rude. We are in the fifth floor. From the window can enjoy a very nice urban view, bricks building of the ancient port, and a huge amazing tree among more trees lined up around the blocks. The room is a bit small, with a little side table to one side of the bed, and a chair to the other side. Big bed, very confortable. Temperature exchanges doing its good job, enjoyable temperatures. I didn't like the web spiders at the corners and along the ceiling-wall joints, but they were not a real problem.Service: we chose not to take the room service, however the lady who does it is very helpful and provides us with clean towels and supplies. We have breakfast included. I think it is one of the best breakfast display I have ever seen in my multiple trips to Argentina and other countries. You have everything all the time. Great selection of food, baked goods and fruits. Juice, eggs, yogurt, etc. Decent coffee too.
Without a shadow of a doubt, it was the best hotel I could choose, all the staff were super pleasant and polite. We went back to the room and everything was clean and organized without touching anything we left there, we left the suitcase open and nothing went missing, it was an incredible experience and I simply loved it, a great location and close to everything.
Good location, quiet and safe area, close to several attractive points of Puerto Madero.Comfortable room, the detail that made me a little uncomfortable was the light in the room, very low lighting!!
The hotel was a disaster, we arrived and they sent us to another one due to a problem in the room, it complicated all the plans we had. Not really serious
Do not stay here if you want a quality hotel. Large beds are 2 twins pushed together and separate in the night. Bathrooms are gross, staff is rude, A/C in my first room did not work. 2 stars. Walls are paper thin you can hear people in other room.
The stay was good. Just enough. Yes I contracted through booking and at the end of the stay they charged me on two credit cards for the stay. When I contacted the logical complaint, they didn't give me any feedback...they gave me an email for complaints that no one ever answered. To date I have not received a response. In other words, THE HOTEL'S RESPONSE TO THE PROBLEM WAS NAIL.. VERY TERRIBLE.
Bad quality-price ratio. The best thing is the location, the rest more or less. You can hear a lot what is happening in the other rooms and in the hallway, very poor soundproofing. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom shower was terrible, very little pressure and it was impossible to achieve the ideal water temperature.
My husband and I spent a week at the hotel and, unfortunately, the experience was quite unpleasant. We had booked a luxury room with a view of the river, but we were allocated a completely different one, with a view of the bushes. The breakfast left a lot to be desired, being simple and with few options. The condition of the hotel did not match the photos published, showing notable signs of aging. Furthermore, on the last day, they forgot to provide bath towels, even after several requests at reception.I only highlight the location as a positive point. However, the coldness and lack of friendliness of the receptionists, who did not meet our demands, contributed to an unsatisfactory stay. Based on these issues, I would not recommend this experience to other travelers.
You sleep very well, very airtight room. The surrounding areas of Puerto Madero and San Telmo are very expensive, the water in the room's refrigerator is a fortune haha
Infinite thanks Believe Madero...For your unconditional attention...Janitors and staffExcellent 👌Airport shuttle service ✅️I appreciate the hospitality!!!
The hotel has good value for money. Comfortable, quiet room. In fact, as some reviews point out, the facilities are more aged than the official photos, but nothing to compromise, as the cleaning and tidying are efficient.Regarding the bathroom shower, the inefficiency in blocking water from the shower can be annoying. In my case, in one person it was not a serious issue. The location is good, close to Puerto Madero and San Telmo, but it is not a very touristy place, but it is safe and peaceful. The reception service was very attentive.
You book a four-star hotel and it is no more than a three-star hotel and if you see the bathrooms, it is a guesthouse. The entire room full of "arrangements" that hide no intention of investing in the hotel. The toilet bowl has been broken and it seems like it has been broken for many months. The photos of the hotel are quite misleading and the reality is different. We wanted to go from the first night, but since many events in the city coincided, everything was booked. I don't recommend it to anyone, unless there are no other options.
The hotel is renovated, it has some rooms that are not the best (we had to) the experience with the hotel is that it is 3 stars. The location is very good
The room is simple and small, but cozy, above all it benefits from the views and good location. The hotel is close to the federal police so the area is safe and quiet. Our room was on the 11th floor and was clean and equipped with a hairdryer. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the bed was comfortable. The night cost us 35,000 pesos.
I just got back from Buenos Aires, I stayed at Unique Madeira, I confess that before the trip I was very worried about this hotel where I stayed for 6 days, there were a lot of negative comments about it, but thank God in my accommodation I didn't hear any problems, the only fact that I didn't give the fifth star and because of the very short glass in the bathtub, it was very wet when taking a shower, we always had to use the bathroom mat and another face towel and it still got wet, but other than that, it's a great breakfast, a very good hotel well located you can walk to the bridge de lá mujher very close to the mafalda statue and the São Telmo market close to the São Telmo market you can do everything on foot there are bars and large supermarkets very close to the hotel I recommend this hotel . Yes, go easy, don't pay attention to nasty comments because the hotel has excellent, well-mannered staff, always in a good mood.
If you are a hotel that boasts of having minimal standards, fix the letter O for HOTEL on the terrace.... because it gives an image of abandonment... it can be seen in the distance. They are in Puerto Madero, it doesn't matter...
I only spent half a stay so I can't evaluate all the services offered.Firstly, the location is not the best, as there are no shops around. But it is close to Puerto Madero. The reception took good care of us. The room was recently renovated, but the service/finishing is of lower quality. Reasonable mattress. There were mosquitoes. There's just a very weak split. In the bathroom, you have to be careful to leave the curtain inside the bathtub so as not to get the floor wet. Television with cable TV channels.
A very well located, safe and quiet hotel, good buffet breakfast with a wide variety. In rooms you can improve the beds and pillows (hard) and the bathtub (open)
A very nice hotel, in a very quiet area, except that in Argentina, they tell you one price and then they give you another 😡😡😡 for booking it cost me 259 dollars and then they charged me 303 dollars!!!!
Hotel very well located, close to Puente de La Mujer, the Siga la vaca restaurant, the La Brigada restaurant, the Mafalda statue, the San Telmo fair, among other tourist attractions. Cute and cozy. Breakfast well served. The room service left a little to be desired, where sometimes we came back late in the afternoon and the room hadn't been cleaned, or they forgot to change or leave clean towels or toilet paper. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. I recommend.
At this time we wrote this review while staying in another hotel, we had paid for 4 nights and we only supported two, we preferred to pay for another stay than continue there. The place is horrible, they charge you like a 4 star and you don't get even one. They accommodated us on the top floor, which is a poor quality construction on the building, the walls being made of sheet metal, the metal windows are completely deteriorated and do not insulate from outside sound and with even the slightest breeze they vibrate letting in.all the air. You CANNOT sleep because the walls are very thin, you hear the other guests perfectly when they talk quietly and of course all the noises in the hallway. Take care of your money, don't even come close.
The hotel is in a good location, We were in a double room. which the shower worked very poorly and the bathtub was covered, so it began to flood. I recommend it if you are passing through as was our case, but nothing more.
Beautiful hotel, very good breakfast and good service. Very nice rooms. The only thing that the bathroom does not have a video and another “bad” thing is that you can hear everything from one room to another.Beyond that for a short stay I would choose it again
Good hotel to stop at in Puerto Madero, it does the job, every time I go it is one of my options because of the location, its employees are very friendly. If there is a weak point it could be the internet.
I've been staying in hotels in South America for 25 years and this has been the worst of my experiences. From the outset: Terrible service. Bad smell when entering. “They serve only with reservations” hahahaha… I know that story and I have honestly stayed in better hotels with better service than this one. I saw the comments, I decided to change my expectations and request 3 or 2 or even 1 room because I am coming with family and change my perspective of the bad comments, but they are totally true. Rating at 3.5 from 2000 opinions and it is totally true. From today I will begin to give my opinion and leave my mark in the comments.
Excellent location and attention. Maids must be educated in good service, lack of interest in changing towels, and cleanliness. Improve that service to have 100 percent qualification.
Very good location for everything that is the night of Puerto Madero. Maybe I expected a little more from the room for the price. It has details of the passage of time and some things that do not seem functional to me. But I had a good time.
Only one elevator worked and it scared you how it moved. Many people stayed for that bad service. They didn't change the towels because they didn't have any more, they told us.
Excellent location...reasonable prices...the only thing to improve would be the shower screen splashes on the floor...the rest is perfect...great breakfast
Excellent location, quiet, on the edge of San Telmo, in front of Puerto Madero where there are good restaurants. Good room, with TV and air conditioning, old but functional bathroom, good and varied breakfast, perfect for a short stay. The bad, the elevator was bad and we had to go down to lower floors to be able to take it (we were on the 10th floor), little insulation in the rooms. Good for the price, but I recommend it for a short stay and dedicate the day to visit Buenos Aires.
Very bad rooms nothing to seeIt didn't even have a hair dryer, the pillows were hard for a 4-star hotel, super bad, towels were super scratchy, a horrible smell that came out of the bathrooms, the truth is, this hotel seems more like 2 stars than 4 stars, the only good thing is the location of the rest, it's bad all
Maybe the worst hotel stay I have ever had. I beseech you that if you are reading this sentence you read the entire review as well as the other unfavorable reviews, it will help tremendously. When I first checked in late at night for a five night stay, I was given a room that I would have to check out of in the morning. That was the first red flag. The second was that the showers don’t work properly. In the two rooms I tried, the better shower would change temperature without touching the handle and the water pressure was questionable, but it was infinitely better than the second shower which was more like an overhead faucet than a shower—the water dribbled out and you could barely take a shower with it. Since I had no desire to continually switch rooms, I simply left early. Additionally, the fitness center is not in operation but there was no such warning when booking. The hotel is in poor condition and I do not care how cheap it is, please consider looking elsewhere.
The made stole my stuffs!!!!Internet unstable in the room, but in the lobby was OK.The real problem : the maid stole my belongings a day beforecheck out. I told the hotel (reception) to check if the maid tookit (glasses in sunglass case) by mistake. One guy in the reception told me he'll check. And no more feedback. So I asked someone else in thereception few hours later and that person told me they aresearching for it. Why searching? It's simple, if the maid took it, or not. That was simple. If the maid did NOT take my stuffs, thenthat's it. They don't need to search for it. If they do, it meanssuch things happen a lot in this property.Next Morning, I realized my personal glucose checking device was taken as well. So I went down to the lobby. BUT there's no one who can speak English. Only one guys showed me his phone with Google Translator. So I didn't tell him. When I'm checking out, that non-English speaker guy in the reception gave me my stuffs (small scissors, glass case and glucose level checker : I was not even aware of small scissors if taken) in one plastic bag. So I asked him "Que passa?" And he showed the google translation that those were found in the closet. That's all. NO ONE from the hotel made an apology. And I left my luggage for few more hours. I was expecting to hear some apology from the hotel when I'm back to take my luggage. STILL NO ONE apologized. REALLY? TEHY ARE NOT SERIOUS ABOUT THIS.I have a big doubt that this happens often in this property.
When you pay more than a us$100 for a room, you expect a clean place, and good environment. The furniture was old, and smell like humidity.I don't recommend to walk around at night. The taxi driver was robbed at night after he dropped us off at the hotel. Please request a taxi in the lobby, they will call a taxi they know.
We selected this hotel before we went to a cruise. The hotel is very expensive, but the rooms are dirty and they have old furnitures. No recommended to walk at night around the hotel. It is not safe.
The structures were facing some problems, like some buttons of the elevator.Sometimes they don't change the bed linen and towels.Breakfast was good and the employees are nice.
Paper thin walls I recorded the whole fight of a couple next door, blinds didn't go all the way to the walls so morning light shines directly to your face, breakfast was a disappointment
Terrible experience, had to be relocated to another hotel nearby and nobody has informed me about anything. Next time I will pay more attention to the reviews. Please avoid it!
The rooms has a poor organization, furniture are no conservative and many parts not fixed, has no curtain in the bathroom box which permit lot of water in the floor. Also, my room smelled a smoke area. The hotel is in a great location according to my necessity and cost benefits!
It is advertised as a 4 star hotel however it is far from it. Very sttractive upon entrance but never judge a book by its cover. Daily, our towels and bed linen were dirty, torn and we were only given 1-2 towels between 4 adults. Blood stains found on fresh bed linen. Lifts felt unsafe - made noises and never stopped in line with the floor. Breakfast was stale and food taken away daily 5 mins before finishing time. Horrible hotel. Worst I've stayed in.
