On the corner you have a Café Martínez which is the best.We requested a room for 3 people with bathroom included, it had air conditioning and a fan which I thought was excellent. They give towels and change them every 48 hours to take care of the environment. I liked that it was 24 hours a day and that you could serve coffee or tea until noon for free. The hostel is super central, they have a supermarket next door. The staff's attention is super good.This hostel was currently in the process of getting refurbished When we stayed there but it was still very much a enjoyable experienceRoom is dirty. I have asked literally 3 times that somebody cleans the floor which hasn’t been cleaned since loooooong time but nobody did itMilhouse Hostel Hipo is safe and clean, however, there are no lockers to store luggage outside the room when waiting for check-in time and check-out time after check-out. The cleaning staff are super friendly, but the elderly gentleman who works at reception at night is very rude. The hostel hosts large events (over 50 people) that occupy the common area where the dining tables are located, which limits access for other guests.The place itself is very cozy and beautiful, ideal for an exchange of cultures, those who were in the kitchen were very helpful, you don't even feel the cold when it hits very hard. Just a suggestion that in particular for the reception, which is a very delicate unit where a greater flow of information and money must be handled, at least put trained people with the ability to understand at least and who speak fluent Spanish even if it is , because a girl who was in the same room as me had to unsheath her fluent Portuguese to facilitate communication and ask for some things and I had to unsheath my poor English to at least be understood. For the rest, my congratulations, the teaching of Guarani on my part is pending on a next occasion, God willing. Greetings.I stayed here while working remotely in BA. I think this is probably the best place if you want to spend a few weeks in BA while working remotely. They have an office right above the lobby. It has pretty fast internet. It's also pretty quiet for a conference call.I booked for a month and I got a good deal on it. I'd stay here again next time.Avoid this hostel. Terrible value for money, and the hostel only allows you to pay the blue dollar rate so paying in cash isn't cheaper. I booked originally through hostel world and then extended in person and was charged $34 for 2 beds for the extra night (which is way more than hostel world) and they charged my card without telling me this price. The kitchen is barely useable, and the fridge had mouldy produce in it. The room had no air conditioning, despite the website saying they did, and for some reason they took all the sheets of the bed everyday, so we had to remake our beds every night (????). The location was nice and the roof terrace is was a lovely place to hang out, but there are so many hostels in Buenos Aires many of which are nicer!I had a great time staying here. Was here during the holidays and what really makes this hostel stand out is the people and its parties. The other milhouse hostel (which you have access to if you stay at this one) has a very busy bar. It was really convenient to party there at the start of the night to find a group to go clubbing with at the end of the night.The staff are also very nice and speak great English.I wonder if they try to rip you off though, like with low exchange rates.If you want to be treated poorly, sweat all night, and be overcharged. Stay here.I must admit my initial rating was a little harsh. But my roommates and I were surprised, firstly at the state of the room we were issued, secondly at the lack of accessibility. The bed I had to stay in was unmade and dishevelled and we were not provided with towels like we had been in a previous room we stayed in. There were no sockets at all in the room. Staying there the night before we were to get flights, it meant we were unable to charge our belongings prior to our journey, which is significantly important. The only bathroom available for use was disgusting. The shower, basin and toilet had been heavily utilised, making it understandably unattractive for use.Other than this, the staff were incredibly friendly and informative, making myself and my friends feel welcome and attended to. I particularly enjoyed to tours offered and extra activities.It was such a shame that the last night did truly ruin the experience for us as it was the most important one of our tripThe staff speaks very good and clear english. They helped a lot with recommendations of things to do around the city. The bathroom was clean most of the time and the bed sheets and cover provided were also clean. The activities organized by the hostel are really interesting and fun, the parties they do help a lot to meet other solo travellers. The rooms are spacious and they have big lockers that can hold lots of stuff. The place is well located in the city center close to public transportation. The only downside is the lack of charging socket next to the top bunk beds.Staff are absolutely incredible. Perfect central location. Nice big lockers in room. Big airy rooms. Hostel conveniently offers city tours and experience (bit are not pushy). Nice little bar. Beautiful balcony for my 8 bed dorm. The street does have a few clubs so it can get a bit loud. The pillows aren't great.Luckily we were top floor so the room was reasonably quiet on 2/3 nights. Our final night we were due up at 6am and the other guests were just heading to bed having sat outside rooms playing music etc all evening meaning a pretty terrible sleep. If noise was kept to the bar area it would have been better. Basic rooms as expected, bed not the best.Incredibly friendly staff. Well organized tours and nightly party activities. Staff cleans everyday and it is as clean as it can possibly be with 6 females sharing the same space. It felt a touch crowded but not unbearable in any way. I would stay here again with no problem. Kudos to the front check in staff. They were bombarded with a large crowd all at the same time and they handled it very professionally.
