Play Hostel Arcos offers an innovative way of accomodation that includes new design and comfort in Buenos Aires.
It is located 15 min away from Buenos Aires downtown, in Palermo Soho, a neighbourhood full of cool designers, craftsmen, museums, fabulous restaurants, top bars and great nightlife, it is also close to public transportation.
The youth hostel is an old restored house with an stylish interior, nice furniture, modern lighting, bright colors, and a decoration that stands out any hostel in Buenos Aires.
Play Hostel Arcos has private bathrooms in most of rooms and lockers for every guest, as well as an open terrace and a big backyard to enjoy the many beautiful days Buenos Aires has to offer.
The Hostel also gives you the opportunity to surf the web through our in-house wireless network, watch a DVD in our movie room, or you can just relax and read a book in the common area.
The staff will provide you, with the best suggestion regarding activities in the city, places to visit and information about traveling outside Buenos Aires.
I booked and they explained one thing to me and when we arrived it was the opposite, the room was cool but we had a fan with 40 degrees, the bathroom was really disgusting. The attention of a boy who was there very early the morning we arrived and one of the young girls who do karaoke is very cool! Afterwards, a lady attended to us, who was quite rude. I wouldn't go back.
The friendly treatment of the staff stood out. However, the most notable thing is that there was no hot water so we had to shower with cold water the 2 nights we were at the hotel. On the other hand, there was a lack of hygiene and cleanliness. When we arrived there was hair in the shower and there was almost no toilet paper left. When we returned after spending the first night, we saw the bed made but the bathroom was still the same.In short, a little disappointed between what we saw in booking and the experience itself.
The people who work at the reception are very good and warm. However, since it is a place where many people pass, you cannot control what happens inside. Women often feel uncomfortable both inside the rooms and in common spaces. When these situations are brought to the administration, the only thing that can be done is to move to a women's room where you have to pay extra just to be comfortable. We would have to give 'a twist' to the way in which some men inhabit spaces.PS: some toast for breakfast doesn't hurt😉
Great Hostel, I met a lot of people, very good experience, great staff, Agustina was a great person and a great receptionist always willing to help with everything, Cony's activities were the best thanks to her I had fun and met a lot of people
The location is excellent. But the hostel is horrible. The rooms do not have a fan or air conditioning. Impossible to sleep with 35 degrees of Buenos Aires! The reception is the only place that has air conditioning, but they turn it on for a few hours. The employees start chatting at 8 am in the kitchen, and you can hear it everywhere, so wake up at 8!
Appalling. The rooms are an oven, dirty, the bathroom leaked water. The images are quite deceiving. I decided to leave and lose money. I paid by card without a refund and had to pay a fee that doubled the initial amount. Without much response from the place. A shame. I hope they improve.
A dream place, French style location, well located, quiet, very well attended, very comfortable. I would return a thousand times. Thanks for having received. Ariel and Alice
Nice Hostel, very good location. The receptionist Federico was very friendly and willing to respond to our questions and requests. The shared room has a private bathroom and that is very comfortable, they also have 2 kitchens, two refrigerators and two sinks for washing. I found it very comfortable
Pleasant and calm. Excellent service, the quality of its officials in kindness and attention. The activities carried out by Coni are exceptionally entertaining and inclusive. Excellent!!!
Excellent attention and respect. Highly recommended in a very quiet area and the reception from the receptionists was very cordial. Federico especially helped me with a bus ticket and a reservation for Brazil. Thank you so much
Great place to stay, they deliver what they promise. Good location, streets you can walk on at any time of the day. Upon arrival, you walk into a reception area filled with warm, smiling people and the smell of fresh coffee, offered in the lounge area equipped with comfy couches, seats, and tables. You can also relax there if you arrive before check-in time. The hostel is located in what must have been a gorgeous building in its heyday, with long white marble stairs leading to a comfy coworking area with a good internet connection. The network name and password are displayed at every corner of the hostel, including the kitchen and other common areas. It's luminous, with an internal patio and a terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped. They also manage a WhatsApp group to coordinate extra activities, ranging from dancing tango to watching a movie or playing board games. The staff is proficient in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. I heard French as well, and some other language. There's no way staying at this place can go wrong.I stayed in a shared female room for 4 occupants. The room had 1 bathroom, a set of lockers, a small table, a couple of chairs placed by the window and in front of a large mirror. The only minor inconvenience I had was with the electric plugs. When I arrived, I had a meeting in the kitchen, which was the first place I found a 3-prong plug to hook up my laptop lol. Later, I found a couple more in the coworking area, but not in the bedroom. I'm definitely coming back next time I visit Buenos Aires.Thank you Fede and the rest of team 😀
I completely loved my stay, I got the recommendation for one page, the price was great, the place was super cozy, complete, I met many people from many places in the world, it is close to many things! Many bars, kiosks, the Paseo, beautiful, cozy and super equipped rooms, I will return without a doubt.
Excellent location. A very clean, spacious and fresh place. The attention was good, friendly and respectful. The girl at the reception was always very serious and attentive.Recommended to rest.
Over the weekend we were with a group of students. I appreciate the good attention and kindness towards us. We arrived very early and they gave us a room available to store our luggage and change. They stored our luggage for us when we were leaving, allowing us to stay in the spaces without problems until late. The spaces are very nice, comfortable, clean and suitable for meetings. The boys even used the work space. The rooms are very comfortable, they were clean and I appreciate the manager's willingness to accommodate us.
In general good but the girl at the reception, both in the payment of the room and in the return of the deposit that they ask for the room key, tried to deceive us, she did not propose the most economical payment option, confusing us quite a bit. the time to pay, and if we did not demand the deposit for the return of the key, he would not have returned it to us.
It's the third time I've stayed. It's good, pretty and cheap. It's good more than anything because of the location. The internet on the upper floors sometimes cuts out but then the place is ideal to be in a nice area, in a nice environment without being charged a fortune, I would return without a doubt.
I leave you 5 stars because it fulfills everything it promises and one requires from a Hostel: clean sheets, good location, quiet place to rest (there are signs showing times to be in certain areas and the kitchen closes at 11 pm which makes it difficult to that time the Hostel is quiet). Everything is super clear with signs, the attention is good, it has a PC in case you need to consult some things (I specified it and it helped me). It has many bathrooms but they are small. The kitchen is also relatively small although it has everything you need. It is a kind of three-story chorizo house so the common areas are not super spacious but the huge terrace and small internal patios make up for it.If you book through WhatsApp you will probably get a better price. I also saw that in theory by booking through their own website you get 15%, no idea. It cost us 16 thousand per night per person in a shared room with a bathroom (in the end, since we were a family group, we had the key to the room so it worked as a private room). They have activities for guests (movie night, tango class, yoga).Room for improvement: Although everything is clean, being an old house it is true that there are some minor aesthetic details such as the old floor stained with wax, the bathrooms with a little tartar, etc. Things that have nothing to do with daily hygiene but with requiring deep cleaning.
We went with a contingent of teachers and students from Entre Ríos, we were 40 people. And they placed us all perfectly. The hostel has many rooms with their private bathroom, it has a comfortable living room. A spacious kitchen. And large internal patio. Everything very clean and tidy. In the morning you can have a self-service coffee. The location is incredible, in Palermo Soho, within reach of everything. Plaza Serrano is a few blocks away and 20 meters away you have the Shooping Distrito Arcos. The Hostel has activities such as Spanish Lessons for foreigners and community barbecues.
I had thought about not returning because of a previous bad experience, but I came back because of the location and because I thought something had changed, but I was wrong. In the rooms there is almost no Wi-Fi signal and little phone signal, the sheets were damp and had a used smell. Extremely expensive for what the hostel is, at least the "Play Arcos". I don't recommend it at all, there are others cheaper or at the same price, but better in the same area. The attention is good, the kids do what they can with what they have. Only thanks to them. I'm never coming back.
I had to go to the embassy. The location is excellent if you have to do that procedure. Very close to the subway, quiet and beautiful area. The Hostel inside, very comfortable and beautiful.
Very comfortable location, close to the subway line, buses and train station, close to recreation places. The kindness of the guys is excellent. The hostel is very pleasant in its facilities. We stopped in a single room with a private bathroom.
The only good thing is the location, terrible attention, terrible manners of the people who work, they taught us to say please, good morning or thank you. The worst hostel I went to in Buenos Aires
Good place if you like to save money, since it is a hostel, but what I liked is that it has activities. We only got to leave suitcases in storage, they helped us a lot and were very attentive (the storage has a cost).
The place is called Hostel Palermo Suites on Agoda and there was some confusion when checking in because of that. Otherwise it was a fine hostel with all the basic amenities. Have to put a deposit of 2000 when taking towels.
Very friendly staff but the accommodation is very very expensive for what it offers. For one night it is an excessive price, 40 dollars.Dirty and old rooms, single beds between very and too small. Noisy hot air pump. It needs a good facelift and update. There was no hot water in the shower, so the next day they replied that there was a trick…. Really? In Spain this is not considered old or vintage but rather rancid. We will neither recommend nor return.
We stayed at their Sister hostel called Hostel Play Garden, located nearby and has only just opened.Really great decor and friendly staff. Rooms were themed and had QR codes to playlists associated with the room.Guido, a guide was really helpful. We went in his cycle tour. He was really enthusiastic about the areas he took us. The following day, he got us tickets and took us to a football match. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Recommend the hostel and Guido+++
Unpleasant staff as possible, both night and day, a barbecue that we were not allowed to use... you would also pay twice the price indicated on platforms like hostelworld or booking because they use the blue rate , which therefore forces you to pay in euros or dollars in cash.Very very humid rooms, and uncomfortable beds..Usually I only leave good reviews, but here…I do not recommend this hostel.
A clean place with a well-stocked kitchen and lovely people... there are always group initiatives to share fun moments! It's Guido's super barbecue on Saturdays which makes the place more and more pleasant.... Thank you
All 10, location, rooms, price-quality, the staff rocks everything, always with all the good vibes and super helpful. Excellent place, I would definitely stay again.
In 7 month of travelling the worst hostel i went to.Everything is horribleThe staff, room and specially the cleanlinessThe bathroom are so dirty that you dont want to take a showerThe hostel have zero ambiancePlease dont go there
Excellent location! The place is very good, with extensive facilities, enough bathrooms and constant cleaning. The size of the rooms is adequate, even the shared one for four people. The service provided by the staff is excellent, very attentive and available 24 hours a day. The only thing they would have to improve is the availability of WiFi: the signal range is insufficient and the speed is quite poor, which makes it a service that cannot be used at all.Everything else impeccable!!
Super safe, comfortable, those who serve are very friendly and willing. I always choose it first because they take care of their guests, they worry and make sure it is a safe place.
The location was very good for me, close to the North American embassy and the CAS, also in La Rural. The hostel is a pleasant place, run by warm and supportive people.I took a double room, simple, modest, the mattress very comfortable, the sheets impeccable, as well as blankets and pillows. The bathroom is not luxurious but basic, impeccable and not at all unpleasant. For breakfast they offer you a delicious coffee to taste or whatever you want to serve yourself (tea, mate, etc., not things to eat), it also has the kitchen where you prepare what you want.To complete a two-day procedure, it was a very practical place for me.All at a very good price.
By far the dirtiest accomodation I've ever stayed at. The place was unhygienic, it had mold and hair in places there should not be. It's cramped for average to large people. My food was stolen daily. There was a constant grime and moisture on everything. This place was a certain type of hole, but they had hot water, and semi clean sheets.
The location of the hostel is excellent, close to the heart of Palermo but also close to the metro which takes you to the center in a short time. The spaces are kept quite well and the environment found was very pleasant, Guido, one of the staff, organized many events and created a nice group. Perfect for solo travellers.
To the CAGON who is dedicated to folding the license plates of the vehicles that are parked at the door of the little hotel that I was located in, because sooner or later he is going to get a nice surprise... the first one will let you know...If you don't want them to park at the door, let them know, you don't have to damage private property because that will have consequences...
Private room for 50 usd seems very expensive to me. Very small bathroom. Lots of noise, the most expensive room (being private) is in front of the kitchen and the window overlooks a patio, which was shouted in all languages until late hours, my flight left very early and I couldn't rest.Good air conditioning, excellent location Open 24 hours.
Excellent price-quality ratio. Hostel where you feel at home, thank you Guido for accompanying travelers with so much charisma. In my case I went for a procedure but I was also able to enjoy it and I wanted to stay a few more days. I will surely return.
The place is very well located, everything is very close!! The mother's girl is very kind and always ready for everything!! 🙂…the room needed one more quilt because of how cold it was and the heater was not enough, thank you for everything!! 🤗
Very good location to do procedures. The facilities are old and that gives it a different façade, in my opinion, spectacular!!The service is charming, very polite, cordial and attentive. They made me feel super calm (due to a personal problem I had).Would go again? Of course, highly highly recommended⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Super nice hostel in the heart of Palermo neighborhood. The staff is great and very helpful for everything. Special thanks to Guido who organised for the guest an "asado evening with red wine" wich was a top notch! Very clean and cosy hostel with comfy beds and well equipped kitchen, so you can cook by yourself if you want. Highly reccomended!
Our visit to the hostel was cool!! Thank you very much for everything and a particular thank you to Guido (we had a great time and a lot of fun with him!!)
The place is a little noisy. Both due to external and internal noises. The room was not very clean either. Especially in those spaces that cannot be seen with the naked eye, such as under the bed. The staff is friendly and the place is well located.
The room is quite comfortable for four people, the bathroom is small, it does not have a bidet, the strength of the rainwater is very good. The room was never cleaned in the 4 days I stayed and to have the bathroom cleaned I had to ask the guy at the reception, they don't have an elevator and the furniture is very precarious as are the mattresses and pillows. The bunks creak quite a bit, the attention of the receptionists is good.
Picturesque building over a hundred years old with mattresses and pillows from the same date. Asleep almost on top of the bed frame and the pillow was almost non-existent. Not even because it is the cheapest. Poor quality price.
Excellent location, I came through the mountains to the embassy, the attention was the best, they solved everything for me, I will return next time just for a pleasure trip. 😉
The bathroom is very dirty, people don't take care of it, they should clean it more than once a day or ask the person staying to leave it in good condition after using it. Excellent location. Good attention. Nice place.
Very good location.I went to a shared room with people who even had food thrown on the floor and things on the bed that I was going to occupy.Bad smellThe bathroom was too small and dirty, both in the room and in the outside area. The morning coffee for the price they charge should be better. The attention of the boys is good
The room no. 8 is very basic, for the price you pay there are many better options.... There is no TV service in the room.... which I suggest: Remove a horizontal rectangular mirror that does not fulfill any function where it is. and place a TV in its place, I would add an office refrigerator to at least have cold water in the summer, a small table to be able to work with my laptop and a safe deposit box... there are hotels that have this service for the same reason. I paid, but anyway, positive things: The attention of the staff (AGOSTINA) is first class, the location 2 blocks from the main Av and 1 block from the mall (DISTRICT ARCOS), you can get there using line D of the Subway and getting off at PALERMO station. The hostel has a shared kitchen that I didn't use, I had never seen anything like it, but it is very common in Buenos Aires..... The architectural style is very beautiful, there are not many rooms... I think there are 17 and very few single or double rooms, its strong point is shared rooms.... it has doors that measure about 3 meters high (something typical of its construction and era) very colonial or vintage, but very beautiful inside according to its style.Air conditioning that worked very well, for 1 or 2 days maybe, but for the price you pay there are many better options.....Basic bathroom, shower with hot water. Another modification I would make is to change the location of the closet and place it on the entrance wall where the single bed is located and place that bed where the closet goes (invert them) that way the 2 beds would be separated by the nightstand. . And if the beds had to be put together, only the night table would be moved and it would become a double room. 3) I would change the electric shoes and put shoes that have a USB port to charge mobile devices. The coworking area works well, a single PC connected to the internet was very useful to me... something negative... in that coworking area there is a sofa that some people use as a bed and lie there without shoes... with dirty and bare feet... is something that does not go hand in hand with the word Coworking.
The location is perfect, the rooms are adequate, the staff is courteous and attentive, you can get information about events from the reception. Overall I liked it, I recommend it
The room smelled like a high school locker with sweaty shoes. I almost vomited. The air conditioning did not work. The bathrooms were disgusting - the toilet is in the shower. I won't stay here again.
I give it 4 stars only for some security details regarding the closing of the sales and closet. Also if you are looking for something with large rooms, this would not be the case, both the bathroom and the bedroom are small to handle an emergency and staying a couple of nights is more than enough. As for everything else, excellent quality-price ratio...
I didn't like it, as it doesn't have air conditioning, in the room with two bunk beds there's only one fan, bad internet that only works at the reception and in the courtyard. Dirty room. Kitchen does not have a space to store your things. I regretted changing hostels.
Very expensive for the conditions of the facilities and the service they provide. Private room for 50 usd seems expensive to me. Very small bathroom. Air conditioning works well. I was in a shared room one day and I changed because I was small and uncomfortable. Good ubication. Open 24 hours.
I was scammed by this hostel. Avoid this hostel. This hostel tries (and succeeds) to scam people. When you ask to pay in pesos, the legal currency of the country, they convert from dollars at the black market rate rather than the official one making $1 equal 1100 - this is crazy and really a scam to make people pay more money. It was questionable if the hostel was worth the price before the scam as they were charging over $50 for a simple double room but with this scam the price was even higher. I payed 66,000 for a double room in November and way more dollars than it should have been, there is no situation where a basic room with a hose pipe shower is worth this. They were monopolising on the fact I couldn’t cancel as it was un refundable and that most hostels over inflate the dollar price as they convert to pesos as a way lower rate. For less money you can get an upmarket Airbnb with private kitchen, lounge , double room and pool access which shows just how much they are ripping people off. The downstairs toilets also don’t have sinks to wash your hands which is very unhygienic .
The wifi barely works in the rooms, but otherwise a charming little place. If there's hot water, I never noticed. But staff is friendly and helpful, and the place is cute.
Excellent location, close to bars, restaurants and tourist attractions, I stayed in private and shared rooms, everything was impeccable, the staff's attention was 10 points, I recommend it!!!
Large single room with its own bathroom. Very good service from the girl at the reception!! Totally divine, it helped me get a room for a foreign friend.
We wanted to spend just one night due to a transfer flight and when we arrived at the place, the doorman told us that it was by reservation only. We asked if they would let us in so we could do it calmly through the page or booking and they cut us off, after waiting a few seconds assuming they would open it for us, they spoke to us again through the doorman so we could clear the door. It was really disastrous.
I was in the shared room of six.I clean the place and the sheets.Beyond the shared bathroom there are general bathrooms where you can take a 10-minute bath. The only observation I have is that the wifi did not reach the room constantly. They treated me very well.
The location of the hotel is very good. The hotel is clean, the price-quality ratio is very good. We went to the private room. It has a coworking with good wifi and a shared kitchen. The only disadvantage it has is the street noise in the private rooms, but that exceeds the hotel.
I stayed this weekend for personal reasons, I had to check in early in the morning, the service was really excellent, everything was as I expected, the attention of the employees was very good, everything was clean, in excellent condition
Room we had smelled terrible, it was also not that cheap, you can do much better for the price point of private rooms here (AirBnB for example is cheaper and from our experience better). However good location and was available late at night.
1, Misleading advertising. They charged us double because it was not well detailed.2, At the door there is a container with garbage and two mattresses in it!!!3, they charged us an insurance of $2000 for the towels and in cash. It costs the same as a Riu in the Caribbean and they charge me insurance for the towels??? We are all crazy???4, does not have wheelchair access and does not have an elevator.5, The breakfast coffee is the most horrible thing I've ever had in terms of coffee.6, the bathroom in rooms 18 and 19 is unpresentable, minimal. If it is to be shared between 4 people, it should at least be larger and have water pressure.7, I highlight the cleanliness of the sheets and towels but there was no good smell in the room.
On Thursday my partner had a paid reservation canceled practically a week before, and they gave him no solution. They simply stated that there was a confusion and that only on the second day (of the three days reserved and paid in advance) could they give us space at the Hostel. Post, incredible what they did. I never thought I would be so angry at him but they left us strong. And they didn't care nor did they solve the error, I already paid and reserved in time. Really bad.
The location is very good, the hostel is good, the only bad thing is that the wifi does not reach the room and the bathroom and room flooded when I took a bath, the rest was fine.
Excellent hostel and also affordable price. It has a very good location, I recommend it for people looking to get their visa. The consulate and the CAS are no more than 5 blocks away. You can walk well, the surroundings look calm.
The general experience was good, the guys at the reception answered my questions, the hostel seems to be an old house and is excellently located. Opposite is the Arcos shopping district, two blocks from the subway station and the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The little things that I didn't like: The room, although it was comfortable, was not even close to the photos found on the internet, a colleague had selected the option of a bed (not a bunk bed) in a shared room, in booking, and it turns out that this option It does not exist, if it is a shared room it is bunk beds yes or yes. The bathroom in the room was very small and the toilet was clogged, the good thing is that next to the room there was a shared bathroom that was in perfect condition. The kitchen is very complete and the patio is very nice. I didn't go up to the terrace because it was a rainy day.
The good: good price, location and serviceThe bad: the wifi does not reach the room, the beds and bathrooms are not very comfortable. I felt that more cleanliness was needed.
The double rooms were good but the bathrooms were not in good condition. The bunks were too unstable so we ended up sleeping on the floor. The service is very good and they are generally clean.
Yes, location is amazing BUT I’d not stay in this hostel again. Toilet was insanely small, taking a shower was very uncomfortable. Plus, water was not hot sometimes.I could feel the mattress was overused as the foam felt deformed. What disappointed all of us the most was the Wi-fi not working inside the room (at least the room located at the back). Most of the staff were nice.
The location is very good. The shared rooms are good, but they seemed small to me for the number of people (4). The wifi was very bad, it didn't reach the room on the 2nd floor and when it connected it didn't work. Other than that, the service is very good! The guys are very nice
The bunk beds are small, and the lockers arent big enough for a trekking muchilla. It's nice to have a bathroom inside the room. There was a guy in my room that snored like a truck, didnt add to the experience.
I have no complaints regarding my stay! The price is in line with what they offer, very attentive, good cleaning service, good location and very nice area!
Very bad experience. I traveled with a group and we were very poorly received, and during our stay we were treated just as badly. There is a person at the reception whose name is apparently Alejandro (he may have lied with his name) who is extremely rude, I don't understand how a person with that level of education can work in something related to hospitality or tourism.I do not recommend it and would not return to this hostel. I had a very bad time with them.
Very well received by Romina. The rooms are good, and the environment is very comfortable.I think the location is the best of all.And the bad thing, that the wifi did not reach my room, number 5
We used the room for two people with a private bathroom. Although the facilities are old, everything was clean and tidy. The bathroom was very small and flooded. But to get out of trouble if you are in Buenos Aires, it is very well located and comfortable to sleep in.
29 of august, evening, girl at the reception1. She played loud electronic music at the reception after 11pm, even though their own rules state quiet hours from 11pm till 8am. When I asked her to put the music down, she said yes and ignored.2. Did not want to let me in, because they “don’t have space”. When I made a reservation in booking, the space magically appeared, though the girl told me that booking was wrong before I had made the reservationOther receptionists were very nice and friendly and the hostel was fine
The location is the best, the hostel itself is very clean, and the room is very comfortable. We had a private bathroom which we have no complaints about, there was hot water. They kept our bags for us since we arrived earlier and there were no problems. I recommend it!
Excellent value for money location, under one star because the bathroom is a bit deteriorated and the Wi-Fi did not reach the room (it was raining a lot but it cleared up and it was still not working) the location is optimal and the service offers what it promises, excellent tmb the mb equipped kitchen
"I was only one day on 08/09, a shared room (it was the only thing available) I had 3 super messy men, when I entered I saw clothes thrown all over the room and a bad smell. The bathroom was quite dirty, and unfortunately I could not sleep there It was uncomfortable for me that the 3 of them were in boxers and the smell of confinement made me look for my things and spend the night in the hall of the hostel until 07:30 a.m., when I left. You have to reserve a single room to avoid these inconveniences. The Excellent location and very friendly receptionists."
excellent price / quality ratio. Fer's exceptional attention. The location can't be beat. The only bad thing is the size of the bathroom, too small and uncomfortable
Excellent location. We booked a private room with a shared bathroom. The room is clean and the beds are comfortable.Good service at reception, very friendly. It does not have an elevator, it was tiring to carry the suitcases. The bathroom is very small, with a small shower and no place to hang a towel. At times there was little water pressure but it was always hotIn general everything was clean but not in depth.Internal patio for common use and terrace, it's a pity that being winter it cannot be used. The kitchen is quite equipped but small with little space and not very comfortable to sitIt is safe and there is a 24 hour receptionistI recommend it. I would stay there again
Great location. Friendly staff at the checkin. However it was very cold in Buenos Aires and the only way to get warm was to turn on the airconditioner that was so extremely dirty that we were afraid to turn it on - so we were freezing cold for two nights
Had a great time staying here. The staff was really nice and helpful 24/7. The area was close to everything you needed from food, parties, parks and nature. Chill around the hostel. Clean rooms, a bit small lockers but it was fine and comfy beds. Good value for the price!!
We had a bad experience at this place. Starting with most of the staff being really rude with us for no reason. Only the first two ladies that checked us in were nice all the time. The cleaning people were making rude comments about our country very loudly so we could hear them. The bathrooms are very small.
The location of the hostel is great. Some members of the staff are really friendly. However, the rooms are not worth the money; horrible beds, no proper AC, bad smells. Couldn’t sleep the last night.
Great hostel for the price and location. Never too loud but plenty of social opportunities if you like. Camilla (the manager) was super sweet and helpful in finding me a bike to rent so I could bike up to Tigre without having to take a tour. Would definitely recommend.
-They apply their own change instead of the official one, if you ask why they answer that nobody uses the official. So do not withdraw cash to pay them or you will end up paying more or less double the price-Some members of the staff are incompetent: they assigned us the bed 3 and 5 probably without noting it. In the middle of the night at 4am they woke us up (as well as the whole room) asking our names because they assigned one of our bed to one guest arrived at that moment. They preferred to bother the whole room instead of finding another solution to the problem they caused-The common spaces are very limited especially the kitchen in which there is just one fridge for the whole hostel-Internet is poor: not working in the kitchen, bathrooms and especially rooms- Once you check out you are not allowed to use the kitchen if you want to cook you have to pay more- it was impossibile to reach my upper bed because the ladder was broken and too close to the lockers, I had to reach my bed from my girlfriend oneJust find another place because it is not worth the money
Calculating with blue dollar rateI wanted to stay there for one night and I tried to find out how much it is if I will pay with Pesos but the communication was so bad and the opposite of transparent. They always told be it will be 22 $ but as I didn't have any $ they didn't want to tell me the Peso Price (they just said it's 22$+20%). When you pay by Cash (Peso) they take the blue dollar calculation (1 $ = 350 Pesos) which is not legal as far as I know. Further they charge you 20 % more for paying in Pesos. I can just recommend you paying with card and checking if your bank charge you the international peso ratio. As far as I know they would charge the official peso ratio 22$ x 180 Pesos on your credit card which could still end up cheaper then paying by cash.
Nice hostel with very attentive staff. I arrived late and was greeted nicely by staff and taken care of quickly. They offer many services to tourists. The location is great, close to a major avenue with lots of restaurants and shops and within walking distance to Jardin Botanico and Japanese Gardens.
Dirty facilities, they charge you $2.50 US dollars for a shower from the moment of checkout time. They forced us to pay it. The staff seemed uninterested, wouldn’t recommend given that its relatively so expensive. And Air Bnb or a different hostel would be way better
Incredibly cheap for its location and size.24hs reception, multiple bathrooms, multiple lockrooms. They charge for towels so bring your own, plus shampoo and soap.5/5 for business trips.
The experience as a whole was great! The room and bathroom were clean and aesthetically pleasing, the location is perfect with many things within walking distance, the staff was very kind and helpful, and in addition, spoke great English. They were able to give us information about local attractions and point us in the right direction for what we needed. The only issue we had was the temperatures during our winter stay were a bit cold, but the blankets on the bed were heavy enough, so it wasn’t much of an issue. Overall, I highly recommend.
The hostel is in a very nice spot, I stayed one night in a private room, shared bathroom. It had very old sheets and towels, the bathrooms had very poor cleaning, didn't feel comfortable at all. The price was high for this quality of service.
Hostel SuitesPalermo has private bathrooms in most of rooms and lockers for every guest, as well as an open terrace and a big backyard to enjoy the many beautiful days Buenos Aires has to offer.
