You pay a lot and it doesn't include breakfast, you have to pay for it separately. The 4 star rating I suppose is due to the location and attention, but what it includes does not seem like 4 stars to me.
Terrible, don't go! They gave me a room next to the elevator machine room... We couldn't sleep all night because every time someone called the elevator, from any floor, the motor in the machine room made rumbling noises. door slammed... When I made my claim the next day they told me that they were going to call me, and they didn't, and when I called, they told me that the noises are subjective to each person... in a 4 star hotel that shouldn't be If it happens, a minimum quality of service must be guaranteed, and not being able to sleep because of poor maintenance and them not taking care of it is already a lot...
Hotel in excellent location although very poor service they gave us a freshly painted room with a strong smell of paint. We ask to be changed rooms!! 😠 Small rooms, elevator for 2,3 people, little staff and little care of the facilities. They give you the basics. Elevator doors slamming at all hours. Simple food though (on one side there is a very good cafeteria for lunch or dinner). I would not return to this hotel. There are better hotels in the area.
The hotel is very well located.Breakfast is good.Very friendly staff. We got a room at the front with good bed and sheets. The negative note...the towels, old and dirty. The hotel's value for money is correct, but its four-star rating does not seem correct to me.
Don't put your card. It's a scam and no one takes charge. The manager does not answer. They stole my money and they are not responsible for the collection. They don't serve you. They treat you badly. They charged me 500,000 when my reservation was 340,000. And on top of that they say they didn't charge me. Booking did not make the charge, the hotel does it and then they do not take charge.
DON'T FORGET ANYTHING! We forgot some valuable personal items in the room after checking out and we called to let them know but magically within a couple of hours they had disappeared. It's very ugly when THERE IS NO TYPE OF DOUBT and you can't get things back.
Excellent service, the breakfast is not so basic and the entire hotel is very clean. The only drawback I have is that the elevator is very small and slow. But we loved staying here, it has an excellent location, we would definitely return.
Not recommended!!!Bad wifi signal. The TV or cable has not worked in my room 504 since the first day. Despite several complaints, they never found a solution. The last night they just offered us to change rooms. The solution arrived late. We don't change. But other details to take into account for a 4-star hotel:There is no telephone in the room, at least in mine there was none. And they should have ALL the rooms. By logic! They don't supply toilet paper and when you run out (likeThere is no telephone) you must go down to reception to ask. They don't have a toilet brush! They don't give you two entry cards even though there are two adults in the room, they only give you one, arguing that the key is misconfigured!!! LIE!!!! Another hotel employee with a better attitude gave me two keys and the key never gave me any problems! For the price and stars that this hotel has, basic things are missing that the owner does not know or someone is not doing their job well. Before assigning a room to a passenger, you must supervise that the equipment (TV, Wi-Fi, cable, air or heating, lamps) works to avoid claims that the guest has every right to demand for what they paid. You not only have to read the reviews that we make with the best intentions but also solve them!!This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel in less than a month and I gave my review expecting it to have improved, however, I was disappointed. I gave it another chance but I'm not coming back. I hope these reviews help so that your future guests don't criticize the same thing and continue losing customers. Luckily there are other hotel options.I rescue the location and the water pressure of the shower.
IT IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTELLOOK FOR ANOTHER OPTIONThe hotel has a single 3-person elevator. It's not enough. Uncomfortable.Minimalist room, bathroom with no place to put things, it doesn't even have towel racks.Noisy room.High price for what it offers. The only good thing is the location.Better stay in another hotel.
We stayed one night with my husband in the middle of winter.I mention this because we were dying of cold, the heating was not working. There was a lot of noise, as if there was a machine on.The mattress is super uncomfortable. It is not a 100USD a night hotel. As much as the location is good, there are much better hotels for the same price.
Poor attention from the check-in staff and lack of resolution without consideration for the client. Disappointing. I won't return and I don't recommend it.
The most notable thing about the hotel is the location, on a very quiet street in Recoleta, with few cars and no buses. Steps from the most beautiful streets in the neighborhood and with many options to sit down for a coffee or eat.The hotel is tastefully restored. My room was spacious, clean, bright, with a good bed and quality towels and sheets. What I saw in photos was what I found in reality. The elevator makes a lot of noise, it wakes you up at night and I think it is an issue that needs improvement. The staff is very nice.
Pros:- Excellent location.- Very cozy, spacious and well-lit room with closet, mirror, safe, TV, minibar, desk, armchair, side table, bedside tables and several sockets.- Spacious bathroom, with great shower and large shower stall.- Attentive and kind staff.Cons:- Small and somewhat claustrophobic elevators (old, but work well).- Bedrooms and bathrooms could have more hooks to hang bags, clothes and towels.- Despite being elegant, the bathroom counter is too small to hold items other than toothbrushes and toothpaste.- Bathroom lighting has a single point, which is not very good for those who wear makeup.- Breakfast with few gluten-free items and few fruits.
Terrible experience. The elevator in a deplorable state. Then we entered the beds, the mattress was very old, it even had holes and an unbearable noise from the extractors. The next morning we asked to change rooms, and they gave us one next door with the same noise and a mattress in the same condition, the mattresses are very old. The condition of the hotel is terrible. At the same time, during the cleaning, they lost a pair of pants and no one has contacted me to try to solve it even though they say that the manager who never shows up will call me.
Luca at the front desk was the rudest person I have ever encountered. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. First impressions are most important and it took him 5 minutes to finish his text message before beginning my check in process
Dear all,I have recently stayed for more than 2 weeks in total at Suma Recoleta Hotel.I would like to share with you all what a horrific experience it was. I was staying there together with my brother and sister. We occupied 3 different rooms. In my sisters room there was a very strong smell that she complained about and the hotel staff said there was nothing wrong. The following days the smell got stonger and she complained again. The maids finally found rotten food in the closet from the previous occupant. In all rooms there were constant problems with the airconditioning and they didnt provide any solutions. My brothers backpack was stolen in the hotel lobby with 2 laptops inside and some cash. He left the bag “unattended” for 3 minutes in froht of 2 hotel employees attending the front desk. They said it was his one responsability and weren’t willing to compensate or help in any way. When we asked to see the camera footage as we had go to the police station the staff was acting very suspicious and said the cameras werent recording. My brother missed his flight because of this and until now management hasnt replied or reached out to support in any way.Ther front desk clerk named “Damian” was very hostile and didnt even greet , look or speak to us during our entire stay.Worst hotel i ever stayed at. I seriously recommend to avoid staying there.
Very good place. Average structure, but well cared for. Everything is very new, but it lacks simple things that were missing, such as an available microwave, a refrigerator that works properly and somewhere to hang towels, clothes... there simply isn't any. Zero view
Rooms were large with a comfy bed. The bathroom had a rain shower. The breakfast was yummy and consisted of lovely pastries, cereals, fresh fruits, breads, cheese, etc. The reception staff was professional and friendly. They spoke very little English but were polite and ready to help. Wifi was fast. The location was excellent. We felt safe walking around the area. There are lovely cafes and fruit shops close by. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay for 2-3days.
The hotel is not as bad as they paint it. There are certain mistakes like we asked for 2 pillows for a health problem that my mother had and they brought us pillows with pubic hair and a little, VERY dirty. After that incident, everything was calm. It is a hotel with little noise suppression anyway. The beds are comfortable and the shower is good. I wouldn't come back anyway.
Luca's attention is terrible, he doesn't even know the prices, he offered me to talk to other pages to rent a room and when I went to see the place, I see him having a beer, which was surely the second one, because I passed by again... Very bad. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, LESS IF THAT LUCA IS HERE...
The room was on the 1st floor. It was basic. The bed really needs a new mattress. If you sleep on the side of the bed, like I do, you feel like you are going to roll off during the night.
Terrible experience with the hotel staff. We had to cancel our trip one week before and so we asked the hotel if a partial refund was possible. The response was super unpleasant, rude and left a really bad impression.
I do not recommend it.Hotel at a “4 star” price when in reality it should be a hostel. They have painted it, a facelift but it leaves a lot to be desired: The mattresses are old and without mattress covers, the sheets are torn, the duvet was wrinkled. The safe did not work and of course it was not maintained and no one knew how to fix it. Dirt. The windows are from the Pleistocene on a street where there is noise. The old elevators. Those at reception eating while they check you in.Furthermore, the payment is in dollars. Be careful with this. It is better for foreigners to pay in pesos.I tried the Esplendor Tango hotel during my stay, it is a 4 star hotel.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!Careful!Although the reservation is made in dollars, they should accept the local currency, as in other hotels and any establishment! However, they DO NOT ACCEPT payment in pesos in advance payment! Therefore, the amount was charged to the card directly in dollars, and not in pesos, making me pay more than double what I would have paid if the local currency had been charged, considering that Visa/Master adopt the mep exchange rate. It's absurd not to be able to pay in pesos. At no point during the reservation procedure were we alerted to the fact that payment could only be made in dollars. When booking with other payment methods (payment at accommodation...), the reservation is also made in dollars, but can be paid in local currency, obviously. In this case of advance payment, it should have been warned that the dollar would be the exclusive payment currency, which was not done.Faced with this situation that made me pay more than double what was expected, I asked to cancel free of charge, which was not accepted, which shows total insensitivity and lack of respect and consideration for the guest.
AVOID THIS HOTEL!!Great location but old rooms and awful customer service. When I arrived, I was SO DISAPPOINTED. There are so many trendy hotels in Buenos Aires at Better prices.I stayed there for 3 nights and travel to Salta. My mother in law passed away.I wrote to them straight away and communicated via their WhatsApp…they NEVER answered me. I has sent the death certificate and they charged me.I was shocked.AVOID THAT HOTELAwful customer service…
We were on the 7th floor next to the elevator and we could hear a lot of noise from it. They didn't give us a solution. The room is renovated but not entirely good. Lack of cleaning.
Terrible service. I felt SCAMMED by the person at the hotel counter since upon my arrival and during my stay he told me payment options in Pesos that in the end were not viable. Unacceptable treatment for a tourist.
